End of Week Reflection:

OnWatch TV in the Studio with KVCR

This week was a strong reminder of the direction we are heading—and the impact we are building.

On January 28th, OnWatch TV stepped into the studios of KVCR Public Media as Dr. Tayari Kuanda sat down for an interview on Black Perspectives IE. While the segment will air at a later date, the conversation itself was both timely and necessary.

A Platform in Motion

At OnWatch TV, we are intentional about where we show up.

This week’s appearance reflects a continued effort to:

  • Expand our reach
  • Strengthen our voice in media
  • Align with platforms that value meaningful storytelling

The conversation centered on the intersection of:

  • Film
  • Education
  • Social awareness

And more importantly, how media can be used as a tool to inform and empower.

The Bigger Mission

OnWatch TV was built on the idea that content should do more than entertain—it should resonate.

During the discussion, Dr. Kuanda reflected on the foundation of his work:

“It was never just about my own personal success. I wanted to bring others along.”

That principle continues to guide the platform as we grow and expand our programming.

What This Means Moving Forward

This week’s engagement is not an endpoint—it’s a signal. A signal that:

  • Independent platforms are being recognized
  • Purpose-driven media has a place in larger conversations
  • The work we are doing is reaching the right rooms

Looking Ahead

As we close out the week, we remain focused on:

  • Expanding our content offerings
  • Building partnerships
  • Supporting independent filmmakers
  • Strengthening our presence across Roku, Amazon Fire TV, VIDAA, and digital platforms

Closing Thought

The cameras may have been rolling in the studio, but the real work continues behind the scenes.

And we’re just getting started.
